Vivaldi runs away from church
(Excerpt taken from Godly Composers Book)
Antonio Vivaldi suffered from frequent chest pains. One time, he
was seen quickly leaving in the middle of a mass, out of St. Mark's
cathedral. This would not have been so annoying had it not been
that he was the one leading the mass at the time! Some biographers
say that it was not the chest pains but rather inspiration over a
new fugue that caused him to run out of his church. |
